Joe Sugg - Host & Founder

Hey, I'm Joe Sugg.

People assume that because I advocate for generational wealth, I grew up with money. I didn't. My first bedroom was a closet in a low-income apartment in Craddock, Virginia. My grandfather died when my dad was 13, both of my parents dropped out of high school, and everything we built came through faith, hard work, and family values — not a silver spoon.

My parents gave me opportunities they never had, but like most families, they could only teach money from what they knew. At 25, I was living behind a church in San Jose making $18,000 a year, following all the "right" advice, and still struggling to make it work. That's when I realized so many good people never fully pursue their purpose because they lack financial provision.

About Our Host

Joe Sugg is a Generational Wealth Advocate dedicated to helping business owners, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders align their finances with their purpose.

At 25, Joe was living in a small apartment behind a church in San Jose, earning $18,000 a year despite following all the “right” advice. Frustrated by the disconnect between good intentions and real financial results, he made a pivotal decision in 2001 to leave full-time ministry and focus on mastering wealth-building strategies that actually work.

Over the past 25+ years, Joe has studied the mechanics of money, uncovered the belief systems that limit financial success, and developed strategies that integrate faith, family, and finance. He has advised on billions in privately held family assets, worked alongside billionaire sports franchise owners, and helped individuals and families across all income levels build sustainable, generational wealth.

Joe now shares these insights through conversations, mentorship, and his platform F’d Up Wealth, where he challenges conventional thinking and creates space for honest dialogue about money, purpose, and the realities of building wealth.

He is on a mission to help leaders stop chasing what sounds right—and start applying what actually works.

Did You Know This About

Joe Sugg

Hey, I’m Joe Sugg.

I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon. My first bedroom was a closet in a low-income apartment in Craddock, Virginia. My family’s story was far from traditional—my grandfather passed away when my dad was just 13, and both of my parents dropped out of high school and eloped. Despite that, my dad found his way into television and built a life grounded in faith and family.

I was raised with love, strong values, and opportunities my parents never had. That foundation shaped what I now call my “F’d Up Values”: Faith, Family, Friendships, Financial Freedom, Fitness, and Fun. Those values guide how I live, lead, and make decisions every day.

Today, when I’m not in the studio or working with clients, you’ll find me spending time with my wife and two daughters, out on off-road trails in the mountains, or diving deep into ideas around generational wealth. And yes—every now and then, I might be throwing cash in the air during a keynote (ask me about the chandelier incident).

Excited to hear your story
