People assume that because I advocate for generational wealth, I grew up with money. I didn't. My first bedroom was a closet in a low-income apartment in Craddock, Virginia. My grandfather died when my dad was 13, both of my parents dropped out of high school, and everything we built came through faith, hard work, and family values — not a silver spoon.
My parents gave me opportunities they never had, but like most families, they could only teach money from what they knew. At 25, I was living behind a church in San Jose making $18,000 a year, following all the "right" advice, and still struggling to make it work. That's when I realized so many good people never fully pursue their purpose because they lack financial provision.
